Christen Cox
Christen Cox graduated from Brunswick CC with an Associate of Arts degree in 2002. She had looked into four-year schools straight from high school, and even toured a few, but in the end didn't feel that she was prepared to leave home.
Brunswick CC offered the best option for Christen and prepared her for baccalaureate studies at UNC Wilmington. “The small classroom sizes and the attention from the instructors really prepared me for UNCW,” Christen said. She was so successful at UNCW that she went on to graduate school and obtained her master's degree in counseling in 2006.
Christen credits her academic and volunteer experiences with guiding her into a career in counseling. She is now an admissions counselor at Brunswick Community College, helping others to find success at the college. “BCC was a great stepping stone for me and I believe that with the right dedication, it can do the same for others.”
