In spring of 2007 I began my experience at CPCC. In late 2006, I was promoted to materials manager at our facility. I did not have much experience in purchasing, inventory or production management. Through research on the Internet, I found that CPCC's Corporate Continuing Education (CCE) program offered APICS weekend courses. The weekend courses offered by CPCC fit into my schedule perfectly. I was impressed by the facilities at the Harris Campus and the instructor. He was extremely knowledgeable in the material.
To achieve APICS' CPIM status, I had to pass with at least a 92 percent score on each of the five modules at an independent testing facility. The knowledge I gained from the CPCC-CCE program allowed me to pass all five tests the first time around. Not only am I the only person in my facility to earn APICS' CPIM status, I am the only person in my entire company.
My experience at CPCC transformed my career. The knowledge and skills I received from CPCC's Corporate and Continuing Education program has helped secure my recent promotion to production manager. With the success I have gained through CPCC's CCE program, I look forward to attending CPCC in spring 2009.
