Lisa-Marie Quinlan
Lisa-Marie Quinlan works in an emergency room as a Registered Nurse. She graduated from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College with a nursing degree several years ago. The mother of three returned to A-B Tech for degrees in Fine Arts and an Associate in Arts.
“I've always had a love for art,” she said. “I ended up getting married, having children, and I went into nursing, but the love for art was there.”
She still works full-time and takes at least three classes at A-B Tech per semester. Two of her children are also students at the College, one in Culinary Technology and the other in Machining Technology. Her oil painting “Still Life Number 4” won Best of Show in the student art show and has been selected for a Student Purchase Award.
