Janice and Bennie Stuckey

Janice and Bennie Stuckey Bennie and Janice Stuckey of Laurinburg are entrepreneurs with excitement in their eyes and a business plan in their portfolio thanks to a partnership between the Richmond Community College GATE program and the Scotland County ESC JobLinks Center. The Stuckey's have opened Stratus Building Solutions of Laurinburg, a commercial cleaning franchise that provides them training and a service area that includes the rapidly expanding Ft. Bragg area.
Growing America Through Entrepreneurship works to help people like the Stuckey's develop business plans and to see if they qualify for the scholarship portion of the program that pays for courses that help them prepare for their business. They also can apply for micro-enterprise loans.
“With Debra Morman as a coach, I have the business plan, funding sources, and emotional support I need to start my business. She gave me the confidence and the push I need to be successful. I really appreciate RCC and GATE for helping us. Entrepreneurs are the backbone of today's economy. I hope to be able to employ people in the future,” said Bennie.
